Farage Launches Women’s Team Uniform with the Sydney Swans.
Tailored to Win.
In a landmark moment for both fashion and Women’s Football, Farage is proud to launch the official off-field uniform for the Sydney Swans AFLW team at the 2025 Guernsey Presentation. More than a collaboration — this tailored partnership celebrates the professionalism, evolution, and strength of women in sport.
From pitch to press, this new look elevates the presence of AFLW players while continuing Farage’s legacy of dressing one of Australia’s most iconic sporting teams. We sat down with key figures behind the scenes — and on the field — to hear what this moment truly means.
Kate Mahony — Executive General Manager, Sydney Swans AFLW
Q: Can you reflect on how far the women’s game has come and what moments like this signify?
“The growth of AFLW is a testament to the phenomenal rise of women's sport in Australia. From an 8-team competition in 2017 to an 18-team league, it’s become a permanent fixture in the national sporting landscape.
The launch of AFLW suits by a luxe brand like Farage is more than a club partnership — it’s a public declaration that our female athletes are worthy brand ambassadors. It elevates the status of every player at our club off the field.”
Q: How do you think this new look helps tell the story of AFLW, now and into the future?
“Our AFLW athletes are classy, strong, powerful — and here to stay. The Farage suit embodies that perfectly. It's chic and modern, just like the league itself and the incredible women dominating it. I know our athletes feel more confident every time they wear it.”
Q: What message do you hope this sends to younger players coming through the ranks?
“We’ve come a long way. There was a time when women wore uniforms that didn’t even fit. Now, having a suiting partner like Farage is something many wouldn’t have dreamed of.
I want the next generation of AFLW footballers to know they belong — on and off the field. On field, we wear a uniform rooted in history. Off field, we’re now making history.
"On field, we wear a uniform rooted in history. Off field, we’re now making history."
Lucy McEvoy — Co-Captain, Sydney Swans AFLW
Q: What does it mean to you to wear something tailored and designed specifically for AFLW players?
“At club events, it makes us feel whole. We’ve often looked like the odd ones out — now we’re included. Having a suit that’s made for us adds a level of inclusivity we haven’t had before.”
Q: How do you think this uniform partnership reflects the evolution of women’s sport?
“Women’s sport has come a long way, and this is a great example of how far it’s come. It shows other brands what’s possible — that investing in women’s sport is worth it.”
Q: Can you describe the energy or mood among the team when you first wore the suits together?
“The girls loved it. You could feel the excitement. There were so many photos taken for Instagram — we love dressing up, and putting on the suits for the first time brought out the best in us.”
Chloe Molloy — Co-Captain, Sydney Swans AFLW
Q: What does it mean to you to wear something tailored and designed specifically for AFLW players?
“It’s empowering. Female athletes have spent years wearing gear that wasn’t made for us. This suit tells us — our game, our bodies, our professionalism — they all matter now. It’s been made with us and for us.”
Q: How do you think this uniform partnership reflects the evolution of women’s sport?
“It’s a clear sign of progress. Women’s sport is no longer an afterthought. We’re seeing investment, attention to detail, and a real understanding of what female athletes need and deserve.”
Q: Can you describe the energy or mood among the team when you first wore the suits together?
“There was this wave of confidence and excitement. Everyone stood a little taller. It was a unifying moment that also let us express who we are individually. We felt like a team — strong, proud, and sharp.”
Tom Harley — CEO, Sydney Swans
Q: The men’s team has worn Farage tailoring for over 15 years. What does it mean to now extend this to the women’s team?
“Joe and the Farage team are part of the fabric — literally — of our club. They’ve always ensured our players look great off the field, so it was only natural to extend this to our women’s team.
We strive for equity across the board, and this partnership is a reflection of that. Our AFLW players are elite athletes and role models — now they have a look that reflects their strength and professionalism.”
Q: How have you seen the women’s game evolve over the years, and how does this moment contribute to that growth?
“We were fortunate to enter the AFLW in the final phase of expansion — building on the incredible work done by the early players and clubs.
Today, we’re seeing phenomenal athletes doing phenomenal things. The fact we’re now launching a Farage partnership for our AFLW team says it all. It’s a powerful marker of how far the game has come — and where it’s going.”
Tailoring the Future
With this launch, Farage continues to shape the story of Australian sport — not just through design, but through a deep belief in the athletes who wear it. This suit doesn’t just fit the Swans AFLW team — it reflects them: bold, modern, and ready to lead.
Whether arriving to a match, attending club events, or representing the badge off the field, the new uniform tells the world exactly who these women are. And they wear it well.
